Physical Characteristics: Bumblebee Jasper is sometimes called Bumblebee Agate, though technically it is neither Jasper nor Agate. It is actually a sedimentary stone. The bands of color resemble a bumblebee, and are caused by inclusions of yellow sulfur, orange Orpiment and Realgar, white Calcium and Aragonite, and black Pyrite. It is pretty rare, and was only recently discovered in a volcano in Indonesia. No other deposits have been found thus far. Obelisks are often used as "altar" stones. CAUTION: These stones may contain arsenic, and are NOT recommended for elixirs.
