Physical Characteristics: Jade can occur in green, purple and black colors in a variety of formations. Jade is comprised of jadeite and nephrite with a hardness of 6 - 7. Found along the rim of the Pacific Ocean, China, Australia, Europe, as well as in California and Wyoming in the U.S. This jade comes from Siberia.
Metaphysical Properties: Jade can be used to aid in kidney functions. It is also called a "dream-stone", aiding to remember the dreams as well as solving problems in the dream state. It can also be used to connect to ancient civilizations to receive guidance and wisdom. Small tumbled stones are perfect for pocket stones or for a medicine bag, though they may get scratched if they are soft.
