Physical Characteristics: Crocodile Jasper is a deep green with brown/black patterns resembling the skin of crocodiles. This Crocodile Jasper is from Madagascar. Jasper is a variety of Chalcedony, a silicon dioxide mineral in the Quartz family with a hardness of 6.5-7.
Metaphysical Properties: In addition to the other properties of Jasper, Crocodile Jasper is an excellent stone for rejuvenating the earth. It is also helpful to houseplants. Jasper is often worn by shaman, priests, and kings for protection. It is believed to be one of the stones in the breastplate of the high priest. It is a nurturing stone, aiding in thinking of others and their needs. It is also a balancing stone, helping with balancing the chakras as well as yin/yang energies. It can protect during astral and physical travel.
