Physical Characteristics: A type of feldspar (sodium calcium aluminum silicate). Hardness of 6 to 6.5. Found in Canada, Madagascar, Mexico, Russia and the U.S. This stone will catch and play with light, flashing blue and green and sometimes other colors (fire). This free-form piece is as close to rough as possible, but polished smooth to bring out the fire and make it a pleasure to handle and hold. CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN ALUMINUM THAT COULD LEACH INTO WATER. Not recommended for elixirs.
