Physical Characteristics: Moqui balls have a lot of different names. Some call them Mochi Marbles or Mochi balls, others call them Boji Stones or Thunderballs, and some simply call them Shaman Stones. They are ironstone or hematite concretions found at the base of the Navajo Sandstone formations in south Utah as well as north Arizona. CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN SULFUR, PYRITE, AND/OR MARCASITE THAT COULD LEACH INTO WATER. Not recommended for elixirs.
Metaphysical Properties: Used by some tribe shamans for healing and spirit journeys. It is said that the shape of the balls determines the "sex", and each sex will bring in the male or female energy accordingly. The round balls are said to be female, while the ones shaped more like a saucer-shaped UFO are male.
