Physical Characteristics: A mangonese carbonite. Hardness 3.5 to 4. Rhodochrosite can be found in Argentina, Romania, China, and in Colorado in the U.S. These pieces are from Argentina and has one end cut and polished to bring out the beauty of the rhodochrosite. The rest has been left rough, showing the contrast between the raw and polished mineral. In some pieces, the raw portion is the matrix that contains the rhodochrosite. We have placed these pieces in the "slab" category, but they are not actual slabs. We just didn't have a good classification for these unique pieces, and chose the closest category possible.
Metaphysical Properties: This "Stone of Love and balance" provides love and balance for the body on all levels. It brings in heavenly energies, and is a great mediation tool. It can also be used to give Mother Earth love and healing energy. It can be energizing and/or purifying. It works well with the base, sacral, and heart chakras.
