Physical Characteristics: Fossilized Megaladon Shark Tooth. Megalodons were the largest sharks to ever exist, living from about 23 to 3.6 million years ago. They are estimated to have been up to 67 feet long and weighed up to 103 metric tons (over 227000 pounds)! This fossil was found in South Carolina.
