Physical Characteristics: Sugilite is a potassium sodium lithium iron manganese aluminum silicate and is fairly rare. It has a hardness of 6 to 6.5. It is somtimes found in Japan and Canada, but most comes from deep mines in the Kalahari region of south Africa. Average weight is 16.6 grams for large, 7.5 grams for medium, 3 grams for small, 2 grams for extra small, and 1 gram for the tiny size. You will receive one piece from the stones shown for that size (unless you order multiple stones).
Metaphysical Properties: Sugilite supposedly has great healing powers, and can bring a realization of the healthy mind, healthy body connection. It is said to open the chakras, flowing from the crown chakra to the base chakra and allowing movement of the Kundalini energy. It is especially effective for the heart chakra, and getting in touch with the perfection of the universe. It can help eliminate hostility, bringing forgiveness and acceptance to oneself and others. Held against the third eye during meditation, it can aid in the flow of information in a loving way and can bring peace to the user.
