Physical Characteristics: Auralite23 is a trademarked name by a company in Canada. It comes from a single mine far within the Canadian Shield's Boreal Forest. We believe it is a type of Amethyst with a high mineral content which gives it the distinctive coloring. Amethyst belongs to the quartz family, a silicon dioxide. Hardness of 7. Color is derived from iron and aluminum in trace amounts, as well as some form of natural or man-made irradiation.

Amethyst is a stone of protection and cleansing. It is a stone of royalty and therefore has been used as a prosperity stone.
