Physical Characteristics: Opal is a silicon dioxide mineral, and the "fire" is produced by tight, orderly stacks of silica spheres. Hardness from 5.5 to 6.5. These hearts will not stand without assistance.
Metaphysical Properties: Black Opal is an excellent grounding stone while also stimulating activity. It is also a good stone for "gazing", using your third eye and intuition to gain insight into the past, present, and/or future. It can also assist in judging the truthfulness and development in people around you.
