Physical Characteristics: This hematite has been crushed, permanently magnetized, and formed. When tossed into the air a few inches apart, they'll come together with a sound similar to a zipper. Fund and addicting to play with! Hematite leaves a blood-red streak when performing the streak test (hema = blood). This mineral is an iron oxide with a hardness of 5 to 6. Color is a dull to metallic shiny grey. Hematite is wide-spread, usually found in banded iron formations. Sold in pairs.
