Physical Characteristics: Found in Burma, Brazil, Kenya, Mexico, South Africa, Switzerland, and the U.S., Kyanite is an aluminum silicate mineral. The hardness depends on which crystal axis is being measured.
Metaphysical Properties: Kyanite is one of the few stones that never need cleansing. It automatically and immediately aligns and balances the chakras. It can help with anxiety, bringing tranquility and calmness. It is a great meditation stone as well. The exact properties of orange Kyanite are still being debated, but it pairs really well with blue Kyanite.
