Physical Characteristics: A silicone dioxide in combination with Psilomelane, a manganese oxide. It has a hardness 7. This Merlinite comes from Turkey, but it can also be found in New Mexico in the US. Merlinite is not an official mineral name, but is used by the Metaphysical community because of the magical properties it is believed to contain.
Metaphysical Properties: Merlinite is a stone of magic and intuition. It can aid in speaking with the dead, especially loved ones. But as skill develops, one can contact the loved ones of others to carry messages from the dead to those that need them. It can open intuition and manifestation, bringing the ability to recognize helpful synchronicities that will assist bringing one's goals to fruition. It is very helpful when scrying. Merlinite harmonizes with Moldavite.
