Physical Characteristics: Ammonite fossil.  Organic matter was replaced with Pyrite during the fossilization process.  Also known as "Fool's Gold", pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral.  Hardness of 6-6.5. Name is derived from the Greek word for fire since striking pyrite with steel will sometimes produce sparks. Found all over the world, especially in Spain, Peru and Italy. Stand not included. CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN SULFUR THAT COULD LEACH INTO WATER. Not recommended for elixirs.

Metaphysical Properties: Ammonites, as all fossils, may open a path to ancient earth and perhaps the wisdom of the ancients. Pyrite is said to have a strong "male" energy.  It can be used to increase willpower.  It can help overcome challenging situations or with perseverance.

Please note that the price, pictures, and weights will change according to the option chosen. The measurements will not change, but there is a ruler included in each picture to give a sense of the size of each piece.
