Physical Characteristics: This Agate is from Ciawa, West Java, Indonesia. The color varies from a vibrant blue to a more subdued, subtle blue to purple. The color is possibly from copper, iron, or vanadium or some combination. This is a new find, and is very rare. Agate has a hardness of 7. We are not sure that these pieces have been tumbled or not, but since they are pretty smooth we are erring on the side of caution and calling them tumbled. There are other sites that have some pieces of this for sale, but they are FAR more expensive. We are staying true to our standard markup policy, and are therefore offering these pieces at drastically lower prices!

Metaphysical Properties: Since this is such a new find, we couldn't find any information in our regular reference books. We couldn't even find any sites on the internet that are offering metaphysical properties for this stone. However, Agate in general has a lower frequency and therefore can be more subtle than other stones.  It can be very useful in balancing energies and assisting with persistence and completion. It protects against negative energies.  Small tumbled stones are perfect for pocket stones or for a medicine bag, though they may get scratched if they are soft.

Please Note: The pictures, price, and weight change according to the option chosen, but the measurements will not. However, there is a ruler included in each picture to give you an idea of size. The option picture will show various views of the same piece for that option.
